Rajarhat police station has arrested two additional women, Mausami Tarafdar and Madhushree Ghosh, in connection with the ongoing sextortion racket investigation. Both women are wives of Imran Tarafdar, who, along with four women, was previously arrested on Friday night. The latest arrests were made on Sunday, with one suspect apprehended from a flat in the Newtown Ecopark area and the other from a house in the Rajarhat Basin area.
The five individuals, including Imran Tarafdar, were presented at Barasat court on Saturday, where they were taken into police custody. During interrogation, Imran Tarafdar revealed information leading to the discovery and subsequent arrest of his wives. The Rajarhat police continue their investigation, seeking to uncover the full extent of the sextortion racket.
